Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They started out as a small machine shop in the beginning employing 4 people. Sales for their initial year of operation amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and different parts. Throughout 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to 40 staff and their yearly sales volume had risen to 330 thousand dollars. Now, Cascade is one of the top global manufacturers within the material handling trade.

During the 1950's, Cascade began to fabricate, design, and advertise its hydraulic accessories. A new facility was made in the year 1956, to be able to accommodate all plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which is still the company's current head office. Following fifteen years of business, total workers reached a hundred and eighty workers and sales had reached practically $2,300,000.
A second manufacturing plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary transfer into the global world of the material handling industry as the company recognized interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.
In 1964, the company changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in 1965, the company went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. Ever since then the business has expanded its manufacturing amenities within the continental USA to the areas Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already existing plants in Springfield, Ohio and Portland, Oregon. Cascade products are made internationally due to numerous subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. This facility is built to be the essential customer service centre.
Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 subsequent to acquiring five corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the global leader in forks.
